Experience the extraordinary Trek to Rainbow Mountain from Cusco , an immersive adventure into the heart of the Peruvian Andes. Located deep within the spectacular Vilcanota Mountain Range at over 5,000 m (16,404 ft), Vinicunca stands as a pristine natural wonder famous for its vibrant mineral-colored slopes and breathtaking alpine terrain.
Unlike mass-market operators, we prioritize your safety and comfort. We begin this unforgettable full-day journey with a 4:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco. After a scenic drive through the picturesque Andean Highlands, you will enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast in Cusipata to fuel up for the high-altitude pass ahead.
Not only that, but also, our expert guides provide essential safety briefings and oxygen monitoring before we access the remote mountain landscapes. We hike through authentic Andean wilderness for approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour. Along the way, you will immerse yourself in an environment where majestic Andean condors soar above, while herds of vicuñas and alpacas graze freely.
At the summit situated at a remarkable 5,200 m (17,060 ft) you will witness the sweeping, colorful slopes of Vinicunca and spectacular views of the snow-capped Apu Ausangate. Furthermore, after capturing unforgettable photographs, we descend to our transport and return to Cusipata for a revitalizing buffet lunch before heading back to the Sacred Valley region.
